Ana I. Oliveira Andrade

Ana Isabel de Oliveira Andrade (female) is a full Professor at the Department of Education and Psychology the University of Aveiro (Portugal), where she teaches and supervises masters, doctoral and post-doctoral students in the area of Language Teacher Education. She coordinates the Research Group 1 – Languages, theories and practices in education and supervision of the Research Centre “Didactics and Technology in Education of Trainers” (https://www.ua.pt/cidtff/PageText.aspx?id=19654). She was President of the Department during 2 years and member of the Executive Committee during 4 years. She directs the Masters in Supervision and coordinates the Open Laboratory for Foreign Language Learning (https://www.ua.pt/cidtff/lale/). Research and publication areas are: education for linguistic and cultural diversity, including teacher education and supervision. Peer esteem indicators include: invitations to give keynote presentations and seminars; collaboration with international language policy agencies (such as ECML, Council of Europe); member of editorial and advisory boards; external evaluator by the National Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education); organizer of international conferences (eg. 4th International Congress of EDiLiC, Education et diversité linguistique et culturelle).
