Filomena Martins (female) is a full Professor at the Department of Education and Psychology of the University of Aveiro (Portugal), where she teaches Language Teacher Education. She has participated in national and international projects concerning teacher education and language education (awakening to languages approach), linguistic diversity, plurilingualism and intercomprehension. She has published and directed dissertations in the field of plurilingual education, as well as in the field of kindergarten and primary teacher education. She is secretary of the Edilic Association (Education à la Diversité Linguistique et Culturelle) and member of the Direction board of the Department of Education and Psychology.
